Blackjack is one of the world’s most loved card games. This popular game is played against the dealer and can be found in every online casino today and various other gambling portals, usually as a side game. There are several different versions of this game, but the basic principles remain the same. The aim is to reach 21 (or as close to 21 as possible) and you can achieve this by adding together the two cards that you have been dealt.

More About Learning the Online Casino Game Blackjack

You may need to take one or more cards in order to get closer to 21 but you will start off with two cards. The dealer will also receive two cards and one of them will be face up. This is great for helping you make your next decision. Each card is worth its face value. This means that a 2 is worth 2 points, a 3 is worth 3 points and so on, up to 10. The Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 10 points and an Ace can be worth either 1 point or 11 points. You will be able to decide what the ace is worth by looking at your other card.

If you have been dealt any 10 and an Ace, you have what is called Blackjack, because you cards added together are worth 21 (the Ace is acting as 11 points + the 10 = 21) This is the best hand. You cannot lose with this hand, but if the dealer happens to be dealt the same hand (or a similar two-card-hand that totals 21), the result is a tie (a push). If this happens, which is quite common, you will receive your money back so that you can begin a new game.

To Stand means to stick with the hand you have, so it is then the dealer’s turn. To Hit means to take another card. To Split means to split the two cards. This will cost a little extra, but will be worth it especially if you are dealt two Aces and means that you will have to hands. Wherever you do find this game, you should also be able to find a rules section or help section if you are still unsure of how to play.
